Meet your Practitioner

John Sutherland

John has been working in the field of musculoskeletal care for over 18 years. His passion is to provide answers as well as ask relevant questions. He looks to the cause of the issue and to see what needs to be changed. Our bodies are wise, intelligent and always healing. They communicate with us by getting our attention with symptoms or natural healing responses. If how we are living our life requires a change, it is our responsibility to take notice. John intends to partner with you on your particular health journey and provide guidance on how to make changes. He practices what he preaches and strives to life his life as medicine. He is a husband, and father to two beautiful children, and two pet bunnies.

The Self-Trust Association is founded by one small Kiwi family with a big vision to see individuals, families and children, reclaim their health and well-being.

Self-Trust exists to provide you with the tools and education you need for you to learn to trust your inner knowing. It is a heart-led, not for profit, community based service that offers support through education and healthcare.

We're not here to fix you or solve all your problems. We desire to put the power back in your hands and are willing to partner with you as you reclaim your ability to heal. Spinal Care Services

Our spinal care approach involves precise movements to your spine and joints, called adjustments, to allow your nervous system to freely communicate from your brain to your body, and your body to your brain. The aim is all about restoring function. Your body is always adapting to your environment and therefore always training based on the inputs it is receiving. How you spend the majority of your days is how your body will train to adapt to your environment. Having your spine assessed and adjusted is one way to train your system to have a different set of inputs.

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology is a non-invasive, diagnostic tool to help identify both the cause of a particular issue and the most appropriate therapy. A basic principle of AK is that the body is always self-healing, self-correcting, and self-maintaining. Any symptoms you experience are healing responses by your body. Your body is always looking out for you and always healing. If your body is communicating with you by expressing symptoms, it's time to get curious and start asking the right questions. AK is all about asking those questions and seeking the cause.

Meet Olivia

Olivia is our Human Design Guide who is passionate about sharing the tools of Human Design with you so you can begin to reclaim your power. By viewing your Human Design chart, she is able to see all your natural gifts that you have to share with this world and how your energy is designed to operate. Her approach is one of playfulness, curiosity and real-life practical solutions. Olivia has been a chiropractic kid her entire life and is enthusiastic about people putting the power of healing back in their own hands. Wife to John and homeschooling mama to their two children, she is a multi-passionate being with a lot of enthusiasm for living life.
